Sickie Sickie

Well not really, but whatever. I feel like we can not leave the house and so I am kind of bugged. Yesterday, Aidan had a fever of 103 so I decided to call Dr but called too late, and missed normal hours. Had to drive all the way to the 7200 s Highland office (which I am grateful for) and get him checked out. I was thinking ears, teething. The dr was thinking H1N1. The test was negative for it, but that does not mean he does not have it. It was in the first 24 hours of fever, so she said to get the medicine (Tamiflu). Does not work if started after 24 hrs and its hard to tell if they really have it in the first 24 hours. Whatever. So my Friday night (not that they are ever exciting) was spent in AWFUL traffic on the way, in the Dr office, driving to a pharmacy on 5400 S 900 E and home. I did not get home till like 11 something. Then, of course, I wasted time. I fed Aid and then got to bed after 1. I NEED GOOD SLEEP. So I gave him his medicine, then some tylenol then bed. He has not been hot today (had normal temp this am). Crawling all over the place. SOOOOOOOOOOO did I just spend $80 on something I did not need? I was advised to stay away from people, even other my other kids, cause they are the spreaders of the disease (no symptoms). I am missing a reception tonight :( and no church tomorrow (twist my arm! lol just kidding, I really like church, just not 9 am). Does he have H1N1? Do I really need to scrub my hands and sanitize everything I empty his nasty nose or put fingers in his mouth to retrieve random things he puts in there? THIS IS MAKING ME CARAZY. Well, I guess I would rather him not have it and spend $80 than him have it and spend $80. Sucks but whatever. At least its pretax (fsa). So here I am loving the laziness, tired, excited to drink caffeine and stay up late tonight and sleep tomorrow (I hope). Whatevs.

OH YEAH! And Ethan's birthday is Tuesday. I hope we can still go out to dinner (I am hoping for Famous Dave's cause he got a free kid's meal) and his birthday party is scheduled for Wednesday. I am dying to talk to my nurse, Alicia. I love her! She is awesome. So I can't wait for 8 am Monday morning to talk to her, give her the skinny, and find out what is really going on here! lol

The Suite Life of Jen and Herbie

Go Jazz Go! If you have ever been to a Jazz game, I hope I just got that chant in your head! Jody won Jazz tix at his work, and since he already goes for work, Jenni came with me. THEN he called me and told me they were suite tickets! SAWEEEET! I love going to the Jazz and sitting and eating and drinking and even going to the bathroom in the suite. And being goofy and taking tons of pictures... lol. They played the Spurs and I was looking all around for Eva Longoria-Parked, but did not see her. I love my Desperate Housewives!

Jody came to visit us during half time
Wish I could stop eating and find time to exercise so I could have legs like hers.
Jenni is going to slap me!
Jody, hard at work. Not sure who the other guys are, but the guy to Jody's right is Tim Buckley, the main Jazz write for the DNEWS.
After the game, we took our time to leave. Just chilled. Took pics. Whatever. People are slobs- the arena was a mess. I don't care if they hire someone to do that, throw away your trash! DUH!It was so much fun. GOOD TIMES!

OOPS

I was just thinking la la la la... OH MY BLOG! OOPS. So I guess I jinxed myself. So now I am going to cheat. This post will say Thursday, but really, its Saturday. But considering the fact that I am going to write 3 posts, I can cheat!

I am having a hard time with my calling right now. I have always been happy with it, and I don't want to be released or anything, there are just some aspects of it that are driving me nuts. I am loving this weather and dread the change that is forecast to occur (in a week, so I should not fret just yet).
Random photos of the day--
Reading before bed time ;) I read practically every night, so when Jody does, they find it to be a treat.
We had waffles for breakfast (one of our latest deals-- the box was less than $1 and it fed us all two meals). Ethan wanted to show me his art, and tell me these are our country's colors. I should also add that, in preschool on Tuesday, Miss Crystal taught about voting and its importance. So, that evening, when we went to vote, I let Ethan come in with me. He found the whole process fascinating. It was really rewarding to me to continue the teaching he had received earlier in the day. I always just feel like I am a blah mom, so it made me happy.

Back On It

I can not believe I have posted four days (at least) in a row. We will see how long this lasts!

So Jody has been struggling for the last few months to find the time and mojo to train for triathlons/track points. He says that, starting today, he is "back on it", so I am helping him make it official. Here are the new "before" pictures. He has also expressed interest in running a half marathon in St George in January. Feel free to ask him how training is going ;)

Babies Babies Babies

Just when I thought my kids would be the only kids their ages in my family (or Jody's), crazy things have happened! I have lots of aunts and uncles, but by the time I started having kids, they seemed to be done (or, never having any// except Harley, my cousin, who is 6 mos younger than E). I am the oldest child in my family, and none of my siblings are anywhere near having children. My poor kids, all alone at family parties- haha. They really aren't, there are LOTS of benefits to being the only grand kids in the family, all of which I absolutely cherish. My sisters are so willing to let my kids come stay the weekend or spend the night. Would they want to do that if they had kids too? Not sure, but I will guess not as often, anyway. Jody's family all seemed done (except Natalie, who has not begun yet). Then a rash of pregnancies last year changed all of that! I have a new cousin on the Harrison side (Rachel's little Porter), and another on the way (Sarah is about 6 months along?). My sister in law, Ane, had a surprise pregnancy, after years of trying (and giving up)-- there are 7 years (I think) between her two youngest boys-- she had Remy in June. On my dad's side of the family, my cousin Shane and his wife Morgan just had a beautiful baby girl (Lexie) in October. My uncle Ryan, who I was not sure if he was ever going to have kids (until he divorced and remarried), had a baby boy (Magnus- Gus for short). I posted their pics a few months ago. Well, the last one this year was just born yesterday! My uncle Alan and his wife Calleen just had their third child, Kyra. So cute! And, of course, Aider tater was born in March. I love all these babies in our family!

8 Months

Okay no pics yet, I am in a hurry to get this written. I have been searching for a playstation 2 along with singstar stuff for best deals, etc (while feeding baby) and now I need to go get work done! Sweet Aidan baby is 8 months old today. I did take some pics, so I will post them soon. Same with Halloween pics. Quick facts on Aidan--

  • the kid puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. He has had baby Heimlich at least once (thank you, Becca). He gets stuff that no one sees.
  • He does not "crawl" yet, but he sure does army style get there FAST.
  • This kid is a thinker and he is pretty smart. I am in trouble.
  • He is LOUD. He SCREAMS at me. Not cry- scream. No tears involved, just a loud "HELLLLOOOOO I AM HERE". Sometimes its ok but others, I just want to shove a sock down his throat.
  • LOVES food. He will eat anything. I guess that is why he shoves any little thing from the ground in his mouth.
  • He has already figured out where Jake's food is. He has dumped the water bowl out twice and tried to eat the food once.
  • He is a sweet boy, loves his mama.
That is it for him right now. I love the kid, despite his dramatics. Aid and Jenni.
I am looking to be an overnight babysitter-- if you know any single moms or anyone who works graveyard shift that needs a babysitter, we have an extra bedroom w/ bed and with the new hospital close by, I was thinking there might be someone who needs the help. If you know of anyone, send them my way! Thanks!!!

November

Its November already? I swear, the 4th of July was yesterday. Well, I am going to attempt at writing every day this month. My sister Brooke scolded me for not writing enough (haha) so I will use this month as a catch up.

Random photo of the day-- Grandma Kenney in her costume. I "lifted" this pic from Jesi's facebook page (this was in St George, I was not there). Its creepy how easy it is to do that. Anyway, she is crazy (gma) and we love her!
