Reminder

This quote, which I saw on Rhonna's blog (see sidebar),
and yesterday's Relief Society lesson are helping me back to the path of being a decent (or maybe even good!) mom--

"A mother has far greater influence on her children than anyone else, and she must realize that every word she speaks, every act, every response, her attitude, even her appearance and manner of dress affect the lives of her children and the whole family. It is while the child is in the home that he gains from his mother the attitudes, hopes, and beliefs that will determine the kind of life he will live and the contribution he will make to society."N. Eldon Tanner

I just need constant reminders that while I am overwhelmed, struggling, overly emotional and not in the "right" place (in my mind) it is not my kids' fault and how would I react if I were in a better mood? Would it be as big of as deal???
I have so much to work on, so much to grow and re-focus. I don't want to say change, because I don't feel like I need to change. Just re-focus and remember the deep core goals I have had for myself all these years. Since having children (and maybe even marriage), those goals have become a serious after thought, along with, I feel, my identity. Who am I, really? Well I just need to realign myself and remember all the things that were important to me before I started the "test". This should all coincide together, I should not be being pulled into different directions. I need to alter the way I view life, kids, goals, and let my kids help me reach my goals, instead of me seeing them as hindering them. Oh and I need a reminder that my kids are among those goals and I am FAILING miserably! Being a mom doesn't have to be near-constant selfless misery, right? Selfless is good sometimes, I mean better than selfish, but I don't think it was meant to literally lose yourself. Forget who you are. Right?
Okay I am getting too deep. This was meant to be a little blurb. I am determined to have a fun day and do something with my kids that they will want to do (other than watch something or ride scooters around).

Tres Chic Contest

We are having a contest over on the Tres Chic Boutique blog, so feel free to check it out! letreschic.blogspot.com.
We set up Oh Sweet Sadie today. I really enjoy spending time with my boutique friends. It is fun. Plus, I have said it before, but I love Oh Sweet Sadie the best. I also associate OSS with
yummy treats, so I need to stop that. I am having a hard time remembering I am not pregnant still! I am always always always hungry and sugar is the food of choice. Anything with sugar. I feel like a cow, the clothes I am currently in are "temporaries" and I need to get to the gym and take advantage of that (what I spent the new clothes money on, so that is why I have a few items I do fit in, the "temporaries") before I have to go spend more money on more clothes cause they are more permanent.
I am glad to be back from my trip, but not really. I am struggling to adjust back to the life of being the mother of three and the responsibilities that go along with that (like making dinner and making sure they get bathed). I think one kid would have been much easier, but didn't someone once say that it will all be worth it in the end (you know, never said it would be easy, just worth it)? I am holding out for that.

Fall Boutique-ing

I am so excited for our fall boutiques. I missed announcing the one last week-- The Spotted Zebra-- but here is to a new season. We have some REALLLLLY cute items for sale right now. I am so slow so I don't have a lot of them, but they are cute. Jenni gets them made quicker than me, so that is good! Here is the agenda for this weekend- (click on pics to enlarge)

PS-- If you go to ohsweetsadie.com, they have contests often and the stuff to win is great. Jenni is also selling some really cute shoes! I am going to have a shoe party at my house soon too. Where else can you get a cute pair of boots for $24.99??? And she has the cutest little girl shoes too. Coming soon-- New England trip!
