Babies Babies Babies

Just when I thought my kids would be the only kids their ages in my family (or Jody's), crazy things have happened! I have lots of aunts and uncles, but by the time I started having kids, they seemed to be done (or, never having any// except Harley, my cousin, who is 6 mos younger than E). I am the oldest child in my family, and none of my siblings are anywhere near having children. My poor kids, all alone at family parties- haha. They really aren't, there are LOTS of benefits to being the only grand kids in the family, all of which I absolutely cherish. My sisters are so willing to let my kids come stay the weekend or spend the night. Would they want to do that if they had kids too? Not sure, but I will guess not as often, anyway. Jody's family all seemed done (except Natalie, who has not begun yet). Then a rash of pregnancies last year changed all of that! I have a new cousin on the Harrison side (Rachel's little Porter), and another on the way (Sarah is about 6 months along?). My sister in law, Ane, had a surprise pregnancy, after years of trying (and giving up)-- there are 7 years (I think) between her two youngest boys-- she had Remy in June. On my dad's side of the family, my cousin Shane and his wife Morgan just had a beautiful baby girl (Lexie) in October. My uncle Ryan, who I was not sure if he was ever going to have kids (until he divorced and remarried), had a baby boy (Magnus- Gus for short). I posted their pics a few months ago. Well, the last one this year was just born yesterday! My uncle Alan and his wife Calleen just had their third child, Kyra. So cute! And, of course, Aider tater was born in March. I love all these babies in our family!

8 Months

Okay no pics yet, I am in a hurry to get this written. I have been searching for a playstation 2 along with singstar stuff for best deals, etc (while feeding baby) and now I need to go get work done! Sweet Aidan baby is 8 months old today. I did take some pics, so I will post them soon. Same with Halloween pics. Quick facts on Aidan--

  • the kid puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. He has had baby Heimlich at least once (thank you, Becca). He gets stuff that no one sees.
  • He does not "crawl" yet, but he sure does army style get there FAST.
  • This kid is a thinker and he is pretty smart. I am in trouble.
  • He is LOUD. He SCREAMS at me. Not cry- scream. No tears involved, just a loud "HELLLLOOOOO I AM HERE". Sometimes its ok but others, I just want to shove a sock down his throat.
  • LOVES food. He will eat anything. I guess that is why he shoves any little thing from the ground in his mouth.
  • He has already figured out where Jake's food is. He has dumped the water bowl out twice and tried to eat the food once.
  • He is a sweet boy, loves his mama.
That is it for him right now. I love the kid, despite his dramatics. Aid and Jenni.
I am looking to be an overnight babysitter-- if you know any single moms or anyone who works graveyard shift that needs a babysitter, we have an extra bedroom w/ bed and with the new hospital close by, I was thinking there might be someone who needs the help. If you know of anyone, send them my way! Thanks!!!

November

Its November already? I swear, the 4th of July was yesterday. Well, I am going to attempt at writing every day this month. My sister Brooke scolded me for not writing enough (haha) so I will use this month as a catch up.

Random photo of the day-- Grandma Kenney in her costume. I "lifted" this pic from Jesi's facebook page (this was in St George, I was not there). Its creepy how easy it is to do that. Anyway, she is crazy (gma) and we love her!

Nightmares

Sydney wakes up at night a lot. Okay, not every other night, but more than I would like. She roams the house, gets on the computer, goes in Aidan's room and turns the heater up full blast. I even bought a new heater (one we had before but broke and was unavailable till cold season again-boohoo) that beeps when buttons are pushed, so that I can hear (through the baby monitor) when she is in there (otherwise she is pretty quiet-- Sydney= silent but deadly). So anyway, early this morning, she made her way into my room. I thought she was with Jody (I refuse to let my kids in my bed. I HATE SLEEPING WITH KIDS.)-- he is a sucker for her. SO anyway, I hear Aidan in the monitor and start waking to go get him and I was just being slow about it. Then I heard the beeps. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR. She woke him up. Fast forward to 8 am and Jody asked Sydney why she did not sleep very good last night (she did not get a nap yesterday, either, so she should have been so tired. She WAS really tired). Her reply was, "Because Scuttle ate Ariel, all ALL GONE!" It was cute and sweet and... I could not stop laughing! It was hilarious. Enough to drag my realllly tired butt off the couch to come in here and type about it.

{ps those are home grown pumpkins. We had 7 or 8. The one there that has green was a late bloomer, but I was so happy to have it, I don't care about the green!}

Blah Blah Blah

I know, no one really looks at blogs to read all the things people have to say but I have this here to write so that is what you get :)

I feel like this has been a pretty trying year. My life is moving at full speed, but I am only able to move in slow motion, which has really just made me miss out on things I really want and look forward to {and I am especially sad about the things I have missed out on that I will remember the rest of my life}. The things I want to do right now are in sight, but somehow still out of reach. These are not even major things. What if I had major goals right now? Well a lot of things are major to me, but what if I was trying to do something really important like get through school?
Can someone please push pause and let me go hide till I resolve my issues and then fix whatever is wrong with my a-day-late-and-a-dollar-short ness? Thanks.

Autumn Art Open House

So the place this boutique is being held is AMAZING. I mean I would never ever spend $550k and live there (umm can I say.... Wasatch Blvd? You can get a HUGE house for that amount in my end of the valley these days too). BUT it is nice to walk through and think of maybe the days when no more kids live with you (and maybe no husband too! HAHA Just Kidding!!!). It really does seem like that type of place. Anyway so if you want to look at an amazing apartment-style condo building or go to a cute boutique, have at it. Its just west of (what used to be) the Cottonwood Mall, and the Jasmine restaurant(1740 East is the street to turn on).
