• Sydney stuffed an olive slice up her nose today; she did not like that too much. Her eye was watering and she kind of whiney said to me "I can't get it out mom." I was like what?!?
• For mother's day, Jody labored to build us a garden. I'm really excited to see things actually growing. Today, I noticed some black eye peas (not sure why I planted those, I will be honest) sprouting and I have some sprouts from radishes (ha don't like those!), oregano, basil and lettuce. I am so excited to see new life! My tomato plants look awful. I think 3 are okay, 3 are maybe going to pull through, one maybe maybe and the last is definitely dead. Let's hope they pull through! I plan to make some good salsa and marinara sauce. I planted corn, watermelon, spaghetti squash, pumpkin, butternut squash, spinach, cilantro, parsley, bell pepper mix, bell peppers, jalapenos, beans, onions, and cucumbers as well.
  
• I might join a Biggest Loser challenge. I am not sure I am ready to face the music 100%, but I should be, since the other day I went to Nordstrom with my sisters and we were trying on stuff and I asked the girl about sizes. She referred me to the women's section. I about lit her on fire. And I about went to the bathroom and barfed up the noodles I had just had for dinner.
• Aidan will be three months on Tuesday. I have not had his photos taken yet! I am just about freaking out!!!
  

Shoe Open House/Party

My sister, Jenni, is the new owner of Studio 32 Shoes and I am hosting a shoe party at my house this Thursday. I am going to try and keep this post the newest one till them so still read on the next few days, as I will be posting pics of Jody's birthday trip to the Zoo, etc. Please come! I am using a REALLY outdated ward list-- I need a new one REALLY bad. If I do not email you one or you do not get one on your door, its cause my brain is overloaded and I can not remember anything right now! So please come! If you need my address, please email me. Thanks! Oh yeah and the shoes are less than $32, meaning that before it was buy one get one half off, but really they are closer to $20 now. The prices vary, but they are pretty reasonable and SO cute. I love my decorative flips that I have been wearing even though I have not earned them yet. Help me earn them or I owe her $20 :) I hope you come (even if its just to hang and eat my cookies. I make good ones you know)!

Old Man

Jody is 38 today! I threw him a surprise party on his birthday 8 years ago today. Time FLIES!!! Here he is being a dork, nothing unusual :) and re-enacting blowing out candles because Ethan inserted his head right in front of Jody as I was taking the pic. Nice. Thanks, Ethan.

A shirt we gave him. I think I misjudged sizes cause it will be too big when fall rolls around.
My impromptu cake. Its a carrot cake, baked in two square pans. I mixed in 1 can pumpkin and a little applesauce with the cake mix (no oil or eggs). This makes for a moist, yummy, lower fat cake. Then I put lowfat ice cream in the middle, sprinkled on some finely chopped pecans, and put the top on as well as ice cream all over it. It was doing fine til that point, but then I decided to splatter butterscotch all over it. Looked great when I put it in the deep freeze. I went to get it out later and it had melted all over the place! RUDE! I

cleaned it up and put it back in the freezer and it turned out fine. There just was not as much ice cream between layers as there had been originally!Birthdays of the past---5.18.2008

Sweet

This post in all about sweet.  This weekend, we will have stuff at this boutique--For Mother's Day, Ethan gave me this.  He made it in preschool.  They make really cute things in his class.  We just love Miss Crystal!  He came home on Thursday and hid it under his bed from me.  Sunday,  all he could think about was giving it to me! Sweet.

Shelly, Nicole and I went to  see the Ghosts of Girlfriends Past and then we ate at Red Robin.  Fun times and MUCH needed "out" time :)

My garden.  I  hope I do a good job.  I hope it grows and we get lots of veggies!  I am so excited to go out and cut my own lettuce and eat a fresh home-grown tomato.  I also look forward to fresh herbs like basil and cilantro! YUM! Just to the right, I have two peach trees and an apricot and further to the right is where I have like 9 berry plants (mostly raspberry).  I better have some good home grown stuff this year!!! (and save money on groceries too)

Cute Babe

I commandeered Jody's laptop again. This baby is a cute boy :) He still looks a lot like an old grandpa, but we won't hold it against him, lol. We took these pics just a minute ago. Tomorrow he will be two months!!!
